Students can practice without signing in to an AI service.
Readable text becomes sentence-completion recall questions on your device. You can also import a teacher’s shared quiz or paste a supported quiz format.
Practice saved quizzes, use games, and track your progress offline. Check the wording and answers against the lesson.
Start with local questionsAn eligible adult can connect OpenRouter, choose a model, and give permission to send study text. Their own OpenRouter credits pay for generation.
AI can create explained questions, guides, and cards. Adults can share a quiz with students, who do not need an AI account to use it.
How optional AI worksAI needs internet access and can make mistakes. OpenRouter credits are separate from ChatGPT or Claude subscriptions. ChatGPT sign-in is not currently offered in the public App Store release. Read what is shared with AI.
A little help, right here
Yes. Once a file is on your device, local text reading, No AI questions, imported quizzes, and saved practice work offline. Cloud files must finish downloading first. AI creation needs internet access.
Use the provider through Apple’s Files picker. Install and sign in to its app first, enable it in Files, and choose a downloaded document. Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets should be exported as PDF or a supported Office file. Study Partner does not sign in to those services directly.
No. Start quiz reuses your saved bank. Create questions and Add questions are separate actions. AI runs only when you choose AI creation and allow the selected account to send study text.
Your library is stored on your device. Optional AI sends selected study text to the provider you choose; a share or backup goes where you send it. The publisher does not keep a cloud copy of your library. Read the privacy policy.
The app is for iPhone and iPad. A laptop can send files to the app through a temporary local transfer page. That page is for adding content; it is not a laptop version of the study app.
Local questions, imported quizzes, games based on saved questions, progress, and Read aloud need no AI account. Creating an explained study guide and flashcards uses the optional AI workflow. Saved guides and cards can be used offline.
